Quilts, embroideries,
and drawings from
a domestic life.

I make work from family fabrics, found cloth, and the objects of everyday life. By hand, at home, surrounded by my children. The conditions of making bleed into the work constantly.

The consistent question is what gets recorded and what doesn't. A floor plan records dimensions. It can't record which wall felt solid. A medical file records procedures. It doesn't record what it felt like to live in that body.

The work is feminist. It looks directly at the female experience: pregnancy, endometriosis, miscarriage, maternal touch, the societal gaze. I record this for my own family and ancestors.
